Согласно Положению (ЕС) №2135/98, все новые зарегистрированные транспортные средства будут оборудованы цифровыми тахографами. Поскольку уже зарегистрированные транспортные средства со встроенными аналоговыми тахографами не подлежат обязательному переоборудованию, то большое количество компаний будут иметь парк грузовиков с разными типами тахографов. В странах ЕСТР аналоговый тахограф может быть установлен на автомобиле до 2010 года.

Сертификат происхождения СТ-1 представляет собой документ, выданный уполномоченным органом в стране, из которой вывозится данный товар и подтверждает, что именно в этой стране он был произведен или подвергнут обработке. Такой документ дает право на снижение или отмену ввозных пошлин на товар в стране, в которую он ввозится.
